Revolution Marine's new 3" x 18" severe duty oil coolers are the perfect solution to oil heating problems seen in many of today's high performance offshore boats. Stock oil coolers are sized perfectly for stock applications but simply do not have the additional cooling capacity required when high performance modifications have been made.

The amount of heat transferred into the oil is directly proportional to both horsepower and cylinder temperatures. This means that any modifications which create more horsepower, be it a camshaft, head, and intake modification, the addition of a supercharger, or even the installation of a larger displacement engine, will result in additional heat transferred to the oil.

Revolution Marine set out to address this problem keeping a few important things in mind:

• Increased oil cooling capacity - The obvious goal is to provide a cooler that offers a significant increase in cooling capacity over the stock unit. Our 85 tube - 16" x 3" main body contains more than double the tube count and almost twice the cooling length of the factory 9" x 2-1/8" or 12" x 2-1/8" used on most 454 and 502 sterndrive packages. This additional capacity delivers three times the cooling of a stock unit.
• Versatile mounting - Our severe duty coolers can be easily mounted to a stringer, floor, or bulkhead. Due to their light weight design, our coolers can also be mounted along side the oil pan as the original equipment units are.
• Clean Design - Every offshore performance boater takes pride in the look of their engine compartment. We designed our coolers to make sure they kept a clean design and didn't look more at home on a tug boat.
• Universal oil line connections - We used 1/2" NPT threaded oil connections to ensure adequate flow and compatibility with stock oil lines, as well as custom braided steel and high pressure hydraulic lines.
• Value - There are plenty of $300-$500 large capacity oil coolers on the market, but why should it be 5 times the cost to triple the cooling capacity? At Revolution Marine we price our coolers to ensure that you get real value for your money.
